Campers Paradise – When you are stressed and life is making you crazy, you can always go…camping!  Where?  Campers Paradise.
     Campers Paradise features a beautiful and clean wooded campground for tents and RV’s along with clean, modern restrooms, playground, game room, hiking trails, horseshoes and shuffleboard.  If you HAVE to check your e-mails, we also have WIFI.

Cherry Run Cabins are located just minutes from the heart of Cook Forest and are available for year ‘round rental.  Each fully furnished, luxury cabin nestles on a private, secluded setting near the Clarion River.  Each cabin has a large bath and a powder room.  The kitchens are fully equipped with new appliances – electric range, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, pots, pans, dishes and silverware.

Clarion House Bed and Breakfast approximately 20 minutes from Cook Forest, located on a large wooded one-acre lot in the university town of Clarion.

Cook Forest Motel and Cabin – Conveniently located just 2 ½ miles south of Cook Forest on Route 36, the Cook Forest Motel offers comfortable rooms with many conveniences at a reasonable price.  The motel features six rooms with two double beds, a small refrigerator, microwave and a bathroom with shower. There is one room with one double bed, a full size refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee pot in a full kitchen and a full size tub with shower in the bathroom.  The lower unit has a small lounge area, three double beds and three single beds, a fully equipped kitchen and two bathrooms with showers.
    The cabin has three bedrooms:  two with a double bed and one with a bunk bed for children. A fully equipped kitchen and a wood burning fireplace make it feel like home away from home. Cook Riverside Cabins – are located in the Heart of Cook Forest on 15 beautifully landscaped acres.  It is situated along the Clarion River.  Each unique cabin is nicely furnished with fireplaces, gas heat, fully equipped kitchens, bathrooms, bedding and linens.  Outside there are picnic tables, porch furniture, a fire ring with benches and covered firewood bin.  There are two small playgrounds for the young guests.  Pets are welcome.

Evergreen Cabins – has new log cabins for 1-12 people and a vintage farmhouse for up to 13 people.  Cabins include a kitchen with eating utensils and cookware, bath, fireplace, picnic/campfire area, linens and paper products.   All you will need to bring is your own towels.
     Feel free to bring your pets, they are welcome at an extra fee per night.  Cabins are close to everything but away from it all.  Weekly or weekend rentals available.  We also have private fireside Jacuzzi cabins.

Cook Forest Canoe Rentals offers four trips along the scenic Clarion River.  A 4-mile trip takes 1 to 1 ½ hours to complete, while the 10-mile trip lasts 3 ½ hours and a 16-mile trip can be completed in 5-7 hours.
     Two–day trips with overnight camping are popular and affordable.  Prices are based on two per canoe.  Life jackets and transportation to launch site are included.   Enjoy an afternoon on the river.  Group rates available.  814-744-8094.

Double Diamond Deer Ranch - The deer park features about 20 white tail deer, with new fawns expected in June.  There are white, piebald, albino and brown deer.  There are covered walkways so you may view the deer in any kind of weather.  Group tours and group rates are available.  Low admission is good all day, so you can come back at scheduled feeding times. 
     The gift shop features affordable handcrafts, wildlife oriented gifts and toys.
     The Buck Barn is located just off the gift shop.   It has over 100 wildlife taxidermy displays.  “Everything from a mouse to a moose.”

The Farmers Inn features a unique petting zoo, a full-service restaurant, bake shop, two gift shops, driving range and 3 mini-golf courses all situated on a lovely farmland setting.  Over 150 animals, domestic and exotic, exhibited at the zoo.  Live deer, bear and more.

The Jefferson County History Center featured exhibits:  When Johnny Came Marching Home:  depicts the ends of 3 wars; the Civil War, WWII, and Vietnam Conflict.  Uniforms, clothing, photos, documents, etc. show Jefferson Co. facing change from wartime to peacetime.  And: Times of Sorrow and Hope:  photos taken in Pennsylvania from 1935 to 1946 by America’s greatest photographers.
     Also:  Stuff and More Stuff:  Prehistoric Lithic Technology, Brookville:  The County Seat, and exhibits on logging and agriculture.  A 15 minute sound and light show of The Bowdish Model Railroad run by The Bowdish Volunteers entitled “The People of Jefferson County Celebrate” may be viewed during hours, and on the first Friday of each month.
    This center opened to the public March 26, 2004, the 200th anniversary of the establishment of Jefferson County.  Housed in the Nathan Greene Edelblute Building (ca 1855 and 1875), they offer research facilities, small archive, ten exhibit areas, a Lumber Heritage Region Visitor Center, and the History Center Shop, with maps, books, and items by Jefferson Co. artists and crafters.  They are located ½ block east of the Courthouse.  Hours:  Tues.-Sat. 12-5 pm, and Sun. 2-5pm.  Jefferson Co. Historical Society members admitted free.  Adult non-members $3 and $2 for children twelve and under.

Kalyumet Fore Fun – FUN is in store for the whole family when you plan a visit to Cook Forest’s newest family attraction – Kalyumet Fore Fun.  Everyone in the family will enjoy playing a round or two of golf on our beautifully landscaped 18-hole miniature golf course featuring a waterfall and fountain pond.  Afterwards, sit & relax while enjoying ice cream or a snack at our air conditioned indoor fun center.  The kids will have a blast playing the redemption games and winning that special prize!

The Pale Whale Canoe Fleet is the premier livery in Cook Forest furnishing guests with Grumman Canoes, Kayaks, and hundreds of single and double tubes.  Located in the heart of Cook Forest on the beautiful, wild and scenic Clarion River.  The Clarion River is very clean.  As you float you may see numerous species of birds, fish and mammals.  If you fish, there are many trout, smallmouth bass and other species.

The Verna Leath Sawmill Theatre is a summer theatre located in Cook Forest State Park near the pool, with live performances on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from June 2nd through September 17th.   (Some Wednesday performances also, see schedule for specific dates.)  All productions are performed by local artisan groups such as:  Clarion University, Brookville Community Theatre, Clarion Community Theatre, Punxsutawney Theatre Arts Guild, Knox Community Theatre, North Clarion Players, MODEL Players and Reynoldsville Theatre Group.  The scheduled performances this year include musicals, comedies, dramas, and more.  For a complete theatre schedule, check The Artisan, visit our website at:  www.sawmill.org or contact us by phone at: 814-927-5275.  Reservations recommend.

Cook Forest Country Inn – Come on in!!  Located just a short drive from Cook Forest on Forest Road, Cook Forest Country Inn is a great place for Good Friends, Good Spirits and tons of Good Food!!  All food is homemade and you get generous portions.  Specials are featured every weekend.

Cooksburg Café – If you love Cook Forest, the Clarioin, River, Ice Cream, Hamburgers and more great treats, you’ll love the Cooksburg Café.  We are located in the Heart of Cook Forest on the banks of the Wild and Scenic Clarion River on River Road, ¼ mile from Route 36.

MaMa Doe’s Restaurant –Located at Shiloh Resort on Route 36 S. – 1000 off the main road – very secluded, very romantic or fun, very serene.  MaMa Doe has great food.  Menu or buffet on weekends.   Open every day in season (May to November).  Not open in winter except for retreats or weddings.
     Kids 4 and under eat free buffet.  Try MaMa Doe’s famous roast beef, and also her homemade pie!

Countryside Crafts & Countryside Quilts – In October of 1986, the 1895 two-story Victorian general store building was relocated from its original location to Canoe Ripple Road, just ¼ mile off I-80, exit 53, Knox.   This is when our adventure began.

Once Upon A Christmas – An invitation is being extended to the 22nd annual holiday open house in Knox, Clarion County, Pennsylvania.  This quiet country community will be transformed into a holiday showcase of gifts, foods and hospitality when it presents “Once Upon A Christmas”, November 18, 19 and 20, 2011.
     What has become a tradition for many, “Once Upon A Christmas” takes shoppers on a route through Knox and the surrounding countryside as they look for the perfect holiday gift and heighten their holiday spirit.  Large cheerful snowmen will welcome you to the businesses, homes and non-profit organizations.
